Art is one area where customers get tripped up, so we’ve creasted this little guide to help with the file upload process. Many customers come to us with their logo in jpeg, tiff or btmp file. These are great file types for a number of purposes, like simple paper printing jobs and interactions on the web, but for promotional product companies like us, we need a vector image to ensure the quality of the swag we brand for you.
What is a vector image?
This is a file type that is created in Adobe Illustrator, and it allows us to separate out pieces of your image for clean, accurate printing. Although we can use lower resolution files types, the final product will probably come out with jagged looking logos. A vector image allows us to size your logo as large as is needed, and the lines still stay straight. If we use the lower resolution file types, the more we enlarge your logo, the more you will see pixelation and rough edges.
So you know you now need a vector image, but how do you get one if you don’t already have it? Simple; we have great artists that can convert your provided file into a usable vector image. When the image is complete, we will provide you a copy to keep on file for the next time someone asks for it.
